The Zeigler family session is truly in the books as one of my favorite sessions of all time. The perfect weather was not the reason this session was so magical (although it didn’t hurt!). The gorgeous location the Zeigler family chose for their family sessions was also not the reason this session was so insanely wonderful (although that also didn’t hurt!).
This session was straight up perfection because of the family. From start to finish they rolled with the punches and were relaxed and ready to have a blast. They were fun and silly with each other and did not come in with expectations that this session had to go a certain way, and THAT is why this session was so spectacular.
Kids are kids… I ask them to be silly and goofy. I ask them to run and play. I ask that to hop, jump, skip, and tell me silly words and phrases that they think of. Kids are bound to “misbehave” during our session. However; to me, that is not misbehaving. That is bringing out the best in your kids- that silly personality that you see at home, the expressions and mannerisms that make them who they are. And the Zeigler family embraced the goofiness and rolled with it.
And the icing on the cake was receiving this text after our session:
“Hi Jessie. We have been talking about our wonderful evening with you the whole ride home. What made it so special is that this photo shoot itself created its own memory… we will also ways look at those pictures and remember a spectacular night spent together as if it were a vacation- with the backdrop of a perfect sunset, to boot. Both little girls got in the car and couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had. They also really want to have a playdate! Thank you. You are a master, baby whisperer and artist! And such fun!”
Kinder words have never been spoken.
