sneak peek: way. too. fast.

There are certain moments that I photograph that cause me to just stop in my tracks- tonight I experienced one of them.  You’ve seen this adorable family on the blog before… we have spent quite a few sessions together!

Before my family moved to Champaign, I remember talking to Mom about the fact that when we moved back to the Chicago area, our big ones would be in kindergarten.   That thought seemed almost ridiculous at the time- sooo far off.  And somehow I blinked my eye, and not only are our oldest kiddos IN kindergarten, but they are DONE with kindergarten.   Time is just flying by, and it seems that as hard as I may try, it won’t slow down.

During the session this evening, my absolute favorite moment was watching as baby girl entertained the whole family.  As she sat, playing in the grass, the happiness just glowed on the face of every single member of the family.

I was thankful to have a camera to capture that magical moment because to me, it epitomizes this family… full of love, laughter, joy,  and a little girl to bring everyone together.   And for that one brief moment, time was able to stand still.

And in honor of Father’s Day, I couldn’t stand not posting this pic of Dad with his boys, which gave me an excuse to post this one of Mom with baby girl.   Could this family be any cuter?
