Every now and then I bring my kiddos location scouting with me… hunting for new places to hold sessions and always in search of beautiful lighting. Well, since it was a gorgeous afternoon and I know that we may not have many more of those this season (reaaaallllly hoping I’m wrong), I decided to bring all 3 out with me and we played outside for a bit. Behind the scenes: getting them dressed, brushing their hair, getting them in the car, and keeping them from rolling in the mud until AFTER I took a few pictures takes bribery. Every. Time. I wish it didn’t, but my own kids are on to me… they know the “games” that I use to make other kids laugh, and quite frankly, they see right through me. So, yes, we did have ice cream too.
And because I do adore those “then” and “now” shots… I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to post one of my own. It is so very tempting to go back and edit my old pictures when I pull them up, but I am keeping this one as it was, to remind me of my journey as a photographer. Clearly that was the “over processed” phase.
