The first time I met this family was a few years ago… can you recognize them when you scroll down in this old post (click here)? It warms my heart to be asked to capture memories for the same families year after year. With these guys, each time is truly better than the last. As an added bonus, the kind comments that I get from this family after each session are simply icing on the cake.
See what I mean? I am grateful for this job for SO many reasons. Capturing those real family connections is beyond perfect. Photographing those genuine moments and emotions. But what I also love is when I get to know a family and we become real with each other… laughing at the craziness that happens behind the scenes, commiserating in the challenges and highs of raising a family, and catching up on the time that has gone by since our last visit. It sure doesn’t hurt when I know that these images are so cherished on their end too!
When I get compliments and praise like the review you see above, I am absolutely grateful. However, what parents don’t always realize is that very little of the magic comes from me. Look at those little eyes sparkling- it isn’t because they are looking at me. Look at those sweet smiles- the best ones are directed at Mom and Dad. And the spectacular light- well, I wish I could take some credit for that! So, I really do owe the thanks to this fabulous family for allowing me to capture those sparkling eyes, and to all of the families who put their trust in my hands because without you, I’ve got nothin’! Can’t wait for our next session!
