too fast.

I have just loved getting to know, spend time together, and laugh with this family over the past year.  But, I am having a hard time believing that their little one just turned one.  You may remember their last sneak peek here or one of their previous blog posts from here.  As much as I...

hear the laughter, part 2.

Well, I certainly didn’t expect a 3 week hiatus, but I guess that’s what temporarily relocating across the country with a hubby, 2 kids and 2 dogs can do to a blog 😉   I promise to share some personal photos soon because there are few things as beautiful as the bright blue waters of sunny...

sneak peek: swap!

I have been talking for WAY too long about having photos done of my own family… I know, I know, I’ve even POSTED on my blog about how important it is to have someone take photos of your family.  And then, just like everybody else, my life has gotten in the way.   Last summer I...

inspired.

sneak peek: we have a winner.

You may remember this absolutely adorable family from a few months ago.  Well, the littlest member of the family is about to turn 1 year old.  How in the world did that happen so fast?  We celebrated his one year session with some outdoor fun. Meet Jessie

evanston studio photographer 35

I love photography; I always have. I remember waiting anxiously at the drugstore so that I could rush home with my new pictures and carefully put them into frames and photo albums.

Even though 20 years have passed and digital cameras changed photography, my feelings and excitement are the same. I still race home after a shoot to look at every image and relive each moment of our session.

My goal is to combine the emotion that I feel with every click of the camera with your family as you actually are: smiling, laughing, even crying. I strive to find the true essence of who you are and capture these moments for you for a lifetime. Your family, as you are, smiling, laughing, even crying, but mainly just being yourselves.
