hug them closer.

I, like so many people around the world, am at a complete loss for words.  I do not use this blog as a forum for expressing political or religious beliefs and I tend to keep my comments and thoughts upbeat, so I considered just carrying on with my regular post, but realized I just couldn’t...

all boys. [chicago family photographer]

From start to finish, this session was FULL of energy.   You might recall the sneak peek image when you click here.  These 3 guys sure kept mom and dad (and me, for that matter) on our toes… running, jumping, flipping, and wrestling.   Just looking at these images brings a smile to my face.  ...

sneak peek: it worked! [chicago family photographer]

Scheduling outdoor sessions in the Midwest can obviously be full of challenges- and you never know exactly what you are going to get, and I am pretty sure that we could not have gotten any luckier this weekend.   A sprinkling of rain caused a few reschedules, but every session was able to be outside (for...

sneak peeks: oh, these faces.

This is certainly the busy season for photographers- full of awesome photo sessions and countless late nights of editing, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.  I mean, seriously, when these are the faces I get to look at, it makes it all worth it (yes, even at 2 am, while the...

Meet Jessie

evanston studio photographer 35

I love photography; I always have. I remember waiting anxiously at the drugstore so that I could rush home with my new pictures and carefully put them into frames and photo albums.

Even though 20 years have passed and digital cameras changed photography, my feelings and excitement are the same. I still race home after a shoot to look at every image and relive each moment of our session.

My goal is to combine the emotion that I feel with every click of the camera with your family as you actually are: smiling, laughing, even crying. I strive to find the true essence of who you are and capture these moments for you for a lifetime. Your family, as you are, smiling, laughing, even crying, but mainly just being yourselves.
