sneak peek: happiest . baby . ever .

You probably remember this adorable face from here, and here… Well, it’s hard to believe that we just had her one year session.   And she is as cute as always, and literally the happiest baby ever.  She made my job way too easy!

announcement. (not a baby).

Three years ago, my family took one of the biggest leaps of our life.   My oldest was just over 2 years old, my youngest was 3 months old and I figured we’d be living in Chicago for the rest of our lives.   However, my hubby’s lifelong dream was to become a lawyer, so we uprooted...

so perfectly imperfect.

When I think about images that I want my children to have someday to look back and remember their childhoods, this session epitomizes the types of memories that I hope to have captured.  Memories of us, at home, doing what we do.   I was so thrilled when mom loved the idea of a pancake making...

missing fall colors.

As I look around outside and see brown and more brown, I am very happy that this is the blog post of the day- beautiful fall leaves and gorgeous, golden sunlight.   Bring some of that my way, please! I adored photographing this family during our fall mini session- being one year old is such a...

sneak peek: same adorable smile, just a little bigger.

Do you remember this gorgeous family (click here)?  Well, I simply could not get over how much this little guy changed in just a few short months.   He grew from a smiley, happy, and simply perfect newborn into a smiley, happy, and simply perfect baby who is one of the strongest little guys I have...

I love photography; I always have. I remember waiting anxiously at the drugstore so that I could rush home with my new pictures and carefully put them into frames and photo albums.

Even though 20 years have passed and digital cameras changed photography, my feelings and excitement are the same. I still race home after a shoot to look at every image and relive each moment of our session.

My goal is to combine the emotion that I feel with every click of the camera with your family as you actually are: smiling, laughing, even crying. I strive to find the true essence of who you are and capture these moments for you for a lifetime. Your family, as you are, smiling, laughing, even crying, but mainly just being yourselves.
