an explanation for an absence.

The last few months have been hectic, to say the least.   My hubby just graduated from law school (!!!!!!!) this past weekend.   You might remember a few months back, I mentioned (click here) that this graduation brings quite a few changes for our family- the big one being a move to the Chicago area. For...

sweet nephew.

A few months ago I shared a few images from a very special maternity session (click here).  After what seemed like an eternity of waiting, my absolutely perfect nephew arrived. So, today I share with you a few images from his newborn session.   It is hard for me to come up with the words for...

sneak peek: oh, the cuteness.

I can’t even believe that it has been six months since our last session (click here.)  And while I was certain that it would be next to impossible for this adorable baby to get any cuter, clearly I was wrong.  I mean, honestly, he is already a heart breaker and he is six months old.  ...

sneak peek: no title.

here they are again.

This family has appeared quite a few times on the blog, so you probably remember these gorgeous faces (from here and and here and here and oh yeah, here too!) I feel so honored when families choose me to photograph their families, but especially when they come back to me over time.   And, selfishly, I...

Meet Jessie

evanston studio photographer 35

I love photography; I always have. I remember waiting anxiously at the drugstore so that I could rush home with my new pictures and carefully put them into frames and photo albums.

Even though 20 years have passed and digital cameras changed photography, my feelings and excitement are the same. I still race home after a shoot to look at every image and relive each moment of our session.

My goal is to combine the emotion that I feel with every click of the camera with your family as you actually are: smiling, laughing, even crying. I strive to find the true essence of who you are and capture these moments for you for a lifetime. Your family, as you are, smiling, laughing, even crying, but mainly just being yourselves.
