2019 Learnings and a Glimpse at 2020

It is surreal to think that in a few hours we will be ringing in the new year and a new decade! This year brought a lot of growth to Jessie Hearn Photography, both in clients, experiences and team members (click here to meet them!). Before waving 2019 goodbye, my team sat down with me...

JHP Highlights: November 2019

The process of a photoshoot goes beyond the time we spend together in the studio. There is pre-planning, the initial conversations of an idea, the excitement of a family get together and the decisions of what to wear! But after the lights go down, my work continues. My top 3 tips for unforgettable NYE’s photos

Meet Jessie

evanston studio photographer 35

I love photography; I always have. I remember waiting anxiously at the drugstore so that I could rush home with my new pictures and carefully put them into frames and photo albums.

Even though 20 years have passed and digital cameras changed photography, my feelings and excitement are the same. I still race home after a shoot to look at every image and relive each moment of our session.

My goal is to combine the emotion that I feel with every click of the camera with your family as you actually are: smiling, laughing, even crying. I strive to find the true essence of who you are and capture these moments for you for a lifetime. Your family, as you are, smiling, laughing, even crying, but mainly just being yourselves.
