summer special.

Somehow, in the blink of an eye, the last 6 months have flown by.   This whole motherhood thing is a crazy gig, that seems to be continuous evolution.  Just when I think I’ve got something down, I realize how very wrong I am. With baby number 1 (now almost 6 years old!) I cherished the...

sneak peek: the session that almost wasn’t.

After 2 reschedules, due to bad weather and a black eye (one of the kiddos, not me), we were cutting it close to my absolute-last-session-before-maternity-leave.  I am so very happy that we not only were able to make this one happen, but that we ended up with 2 well-rested and happy girls, a beautiful fall...

twice the fun.

One of my favorite parts of a newborn photo session is watching the joy that the parents share for their newest addition to the family.  Yes, that is actually what I see- not the exhaustion or the complete feeling of being overwhelmed. However, I sure didn’t expect to enter such a calm world with photographing...

sneak peek: city kids.

You’d never guess by looking at these images just how hot this day was… but it was a HOT one!   After having to reschedule our session once, due to rain, I held my breath driving into the city, as it rained the entire way.   As soon as I arrived it became a bright, beautiful day...

the happiest girl.

Well, you probably remember this adorable family (click here), and since this little girl just turned one year old last week, I thought it would be fun to share a few more images from her session.   Enjoy 🙂 Happy 1st birthday, little one!  Can’t wait to watch you grow 🙂

Meet Jessie

evanston studio photographer 35

I love photography; I always have. I remember waiting anxiously at the drugstore so that I could rush home with my new pictures and carefully put them into frames and photo albums.

Even though 20 years have passed and digital cameras changed photography, my feelings and excitement are the same. I still race home after a shoot to look at every image and relive each moment of our session.

My goal is to combine the emotion that I feel with every click of the camera with your family as you actually are: smiling, laughing, even crying. I strive to find the true essence of who you are and capture these moments for you for a lifetime. Your family, as you are, smiling, laughing, even crying, but mainly just being yourselves.
