gram.

My grandma passed away this morning.  My role-model, my inspiration, and the strongest woman that I’ve ever known.   For as long as I can remember, I have called her “Gram.”  There are simply no words to describe just how deep the impact is that she has had on my life. For 2 years, Gram...

sneak peek: a kid in a candy shop, literally!

Last weekend I photographed a birthday party for the most adorable 5 year old.  The party took place at the fabulous Jolly Good Fellows (click here to see their website, but do NOT visit this website if you are hungry.  There, you have been warned!)   This party was absolutely a child’s dream come true… do...

It is finally time for the jessie hearn photography “best of 2014” photo contest!  This is the 4th year I have done this contest and I always adore compiling my clients favorite images from their sessions and putting them together for you to see. absolutely glowing.

it happened, again!

You may remember the sneak peek from this beautiful family (click here) and the story about the broken arm that happened not once, but twice!  Well, a broken arm certainly didn’t stop us from running, playing, dancing, and having an overall fantastic session.   I have been looking forward to sharing some more images from this...

Meet Jessie

evanston studio photographer 35

I love photography; I always have. I remember waiting anxiously at the drugstore so that I could rush home with my new pictures and carefully put them into frames and photo albums.

Even though 20 years have passed and digital cameras changed photography, my feelings and excitement are the same. I still race home after a shoot to look at every image and relive each moment of our session.

My goal is to combine the emotion that I feel with every click of the camera with your family as you actually are: smiling, laughing, even crying. I strive to find the true essence of who you are and capture these moments for you for a lifetime. Your family, as you are, smiling, laughing, even crying, but mainly just being yourselves.
