the next generation.

For the past few years I have done a blog post about one of my favorite weekends of the year – my college reunion (click here and click here to read the last 2 posts).  Each year I write about how much this reunion means to ME, how important these friendships are to ME, and...

all of the happiness. all of the joy. all of the laughter.

This family was SO much fun to photograph.   From the moment these adorable (and insanely fashionable) girls got out of the car, they were all smiles.  They greeted me with hugs and giggles and we were good to go.  We simply could not have had a more delightful session- great weather, beautiful location, totally laid...

oh, how sweet it is.

I love everything about this session.  The light- glowing perfection.   The temperature – perfect crisp fall weather.  The faces – sweet as sugar.  The family – adorable, laid-back, fun, and ready for an adventure.  As I slowly work through blogging sessions from last fall and winter, I am again reminded of how lucky I am...

no better joy.

thinking back.

Thinking back to last fall… a most amazing session in a simply incredible location.   But, what made this session so truly perfect was the people in it.  I love this family and miss them so much.   I sure am thankful to have such a beautiful place to visit them in, but I really wish we...

Meet Jessie

evanston studio photographer 35

I love photography; I always have. I remember waiting anxiously at the drugstore so that I could rush home with my new pictures and carefully put them into frames and photo albums.

Even though 20 years have passed and digital cameras changed photography, my feelings and excitement are the same. I still race home after a shoot to look at every image and relive each moment of our session.

My goal is to combine the emotion that I feel with every click of the camera with your family as you actually are: smiling, laughing, even crying. I strive to find the true essence of who you are and capture these moments for you for a lifetime. Your family, as you are, smiling, laughing, even crying, but mainly just being yourselves.
